Radical Trainers

Battle over 1500 unique trainers from Pokemon ROM hacks and main series games. Complete series, progress through level caps, and become the ultimate champion.

Radical Cobblemon Trainers (RCT) adds over 1500 unique and challenging trainers from Pokemon ROM hacks like Radical Red and Unbound, as well as main series games like Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl. These trainers spawn naturally in your world, creating an immersive Pokemon journey experience.

  • Select a series to start your journey
  • View available series and their difficulty ratings
  • Switch between series (with some restrictions)
  • Track your progress across different series

Starting Your First Series

When you interact with the Trainer Association, you'll see a list of available series:

Selecting a series at the Trainer Association. Each series shows its difficulty rating and description.

Available Series:

  • Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl - A casual series with decent difficulty
  • Radical Red - Challenging trainers from the Radical Red ROM hack
  • Unbound - Trainers from the Pokemon Unbound ROM hack
  • Freeroam - Special series with no progression restrictions (level cap 100)
Important: Starting a new series will reset your current series progression! However, completing a series will permanently increase your luck for better loot from trainers.

Understanding Series

Each series has:

  • Difficulty Rating - Shown as stars (1-5 difficulty)
  • Progression Path - A chain of key trainers you must defeat
  • Level Caps - Restrictions on Pokemon levels (though on this server, the cap starts at 100)
  • Unique Trainers - Trainers specific to that series
You can switch to the Freeroam series at any time if you want to explore without progression restrictions. You can also switch back to your previous series to continue where you left off!

The Trainer Card is your essential tool for tracking progress and finding trainers.

Progression System

Level Caps

On this server, the level cap system works differently:

  • Initial Level Cap: 100 - You start with a level cap of 100, allowing you to level up freely
  • Overleveling Allowed - You can level your Pokemon beyond the cap without restrictions
  • Casual Progression - Complete series at your own pace without being locked to trainer progression
While the level cap starts at 100, you can still progress through series and defeat key trainers. The progression system is more about completing the story and unlocking rewards rather than leveling restrictions.

Key Trainers

Each series has key trainers that you must defeat to progress:

  • Gym Leaders - 8 gym leaders in most series
  • Elite Four - The elite four members
  • Champion - The final challenge
  • Rivals - Rival trainers throughout the series
  • Evil Team - Team members and leaders

Series Progression

  1. Select a Series - Choose a series at the Trainer Association
  2. Defeat Key Trainers - Battle and defeat key trainers in order
  3. Track Progress - Use your Trainer Card to see who's next
